With a Motorcheck report from FunkyMotors.ie Used Cars Ireland you'll be able to determine:

Outstanding Finance

Did you know that if a vehicle is subject to a finance agreement, the responsibility is on the purchaser to ensure that all finanace is cleared prior to purchase?
Otherwise the vehicle could be seized by the bank to whom the finance is owing leaving you without a vehicle and in the difficult position of trying to track down the original seller!

Logbook & NCT Certificate?

The Motorcheck database contains a record of the original chassis number for each vehicle as it was recorded at first registration and the NCT certificate number issued by the test centre.

When you request a Motorcheck report you will have the option of comparing each number against the Motorcheck database.

If it doesn't match, Motorcheck will alert you and advise further action before completing any final purchase

Number of Owners

Your Motorcheck report will include the number of previous owners that has been recorded for the vehicle as well as the last date of sale.

Where Motorcheck believes that the number of owners is above average for the vehicle's age, you will be advised accordingly.

This means that a potentially problematic vehicle may be avoided before costing you dearly further down the line.

Written Off

Motorcheck consults the national vehicle file each time a vehicle history report is requested.

If your vehicle has been recorded as 'Written off' by the national register, your vehicle history report will warn you and allow you to make an informed decision before you finalise any purchase.

Change of Colour

The Motorcheck database contains a record of the original colour for each vehicle as it was recorded at first registration.

You will be able to compare this with the current colour to ensure they match and confirm that the vehicle has not been involved in a major modification of its original colour.

Country of origin

Your Motorcheck report will confirm if the vehicle you are examining has been imported into Ireland as a used vehicle.

Your Motorcheck report will confirm if the vehicle being checked has been imported into Ireland, the date of first registration in Ireland, the country of previous origin and previous registration number thus enabling you to trace the vehicles history in its country of origin.

Clocked?

Motorcheck consults a variety of vehicle mileage records including trade databases, the Irish National Car History Database (INCH.ie) as well as it's own vehicle milage records.

When acquiring your own Motorcheck report, the odometer reading given by you is compared against each database.

Should we find a reading that's greater than the one supplied by you, Motorcheck wil alert you to the possibility that this vehicle may have had its odometer reading interfered with.

Used as a Taxi, Hackney or Rental Car

If the vehicle being Motorchecked has ever been registered for use as a Taxi, Hackney or Rental Car this will be highlighted in your report.

Valid Road Tax

Your Motorcheck report will show if the vehicle's road tax is current as well as the expiry date of its existing disc.

In the event that the road tax is not current, Motorcheck will tell you how long the vehicle has been off the road and advise caution (where applicable) before completing a purchase.

Stolen

Over 13,000 cars are stolen in Ireland every year with 15% (2,000) remaining unrecovered.

If a vehicle has been stolen there is every chance that it may be recorded on Motorcheck's stolen vehicle register.

Vehicles recorded as stolen are highlighted on each report with an opportunity to contact the previous owner also provided.

Previously sold at Auction?

Motorcheck receives sales information directly from Ireland's largest auction houses.

Your Motorcheck report will inform you if the vehicle was previously sold at auction and what details were recorded at the time of sale including the sellers declaration.

NCT Passed
